Le Protocole · MITH Editions

Privacy policy

This policy covers the Android game Le Protocole — Deck Builder (also called Le Protocole: Incremental, package ch.mitheditions.protocole), its official website and its Armory.

Controller and contact

MITH Editions, Switzerland, is responsible for the processing described below. For questions or requests about your data: info@mitheditions.ch.

Game progress and Google Play services

The game stores your progress and settings in its private storage on your device. The solo core works offline. It does not create a MITH Editions account. The currently distributed version (0.216.0-test361) serves no real advertisements and offers no active purchases. MITH Editions adds no audience analytics service to the game.

When Google Play Games is connected, the game uses Google services to authenticate your player profile, manage achievements and save progress. Saved data includes settings, cards, decks, resources, Phases, achievements, playtime and game version. It is sent to Google to synchronise and restore your game. These services require a connection; local play remains possible when they are unavailable.

Google Play also processes technical information about installation and updates, including the game version and device metadata. Google applies its own privacy policy and your account settings. MITH Editions does not access your Google password.

Advertisements and lifetime removal — integration in preparation

We are preparing Google AdMob interstitials: at most one per hour, after leaving the results of the 10th progression zone and after saving. No banners or advertisements during combat are planned. The one-time “Remove ads for life” purchase, planned at CHF 5 in Switzerland with a local price shown by Google Play elsewhere, remains unavailable until testing and commercial setup are complete.

In a version enabling these services, Google Mobile Ads may process your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device or account identifiers, interactions and diagnostics to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud. Communications are encrypted in transit. Non-personalised ads may also involve data processing. See Google’s advertising information.

Google UMP will allow you to accept, refuse or manage choices according to your region and applicable rules. The game will only request an ad when UMP permits it. Required privacy options will be accessible in the game settings. Advertising consent will be separate from beta signup; refusal will not block solo play. Google’s forms are not subject to our French-reference-language clause.

Payment is planned through Google Play. MITH Editions will not access payment card details. Technical proof of purchase (product, purchase token and transaction state) will need verification to grant or restore ad removal and account for refunds. Before commercial activation, this policy will specify the processing actually deployed and its retention period. No payment is currently possible.

Beta signup

With your consent, we record the email address associated with your Google Play account, the request date, the consent version and the processing status. We use this information exclusively to review your request, add you manually to the testers list in Google Play Console and contact you about the test. Your address is therefore shared with Google to authorise access. Signup guarantees neither an invitation nor an access date.

Requests are used to manage the beta for twelve months from signup, or until you request withdrawal. Entries older than twelve months are automatically purged the next time the form or private register is used. Play Console exports and support correspondence must follow the same retention period; MITH Editions manually removes testers from the Google Play list. No advertising newsletter subscription is created.

Hosting, security and browsing

The website and beta request register are hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak. The register is stored outside public web directories and is accessible only through protected administration. Website communications use HTTPS. We do not sell your data.

The host’s technical logs may contain your IP address, date, requested URL and browser information to maintain service availability and security. Retention depends on Infomaniak’s configuration and policy. Our form also uses a temporary fingerprint of your IP address, retained for at most 24 hours, to limit abusive submissions; it does not record your raw IP address in the beta register.

Fonts and images are served by the website. MITH Editions adds no audience analytics service to the site. Technical providers process data needed for their service; Google’s processing may take place outside Switzerland under its privacy policy.

The presentation video uses an optional YouTube player, loaded only when you press “Play the teaser”. Before that action, only an image hosted on our website is displayed; no YouTube player is loaded. Playback uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once activated, YouTube receives technical information, including your IP address and browser information, and may use browser storage under its privacy policy. You can browse the site and sign up for the beta without playing the video.

The Armory deck workshop saves deck names and compositions in your browser’s local storage, without creating an account or sending them to a deck register. You can delete them in the workshop or by clearing the site’s browser data. A shared seed contains only card identities and quantities. When included in a link, this code may appear in the host’s technical logs, like other requested URLs.

The site’s language choice is part of its address: it requires no tracking cookie. The beta form shown in English, Italian or German translates the same French consent, accessible before submission. The displayed language and French reference version accompany the consent evidence, without changing previous signups.

Your choices and deletion

You can withdraw beta consent and request access, correction or deletion of information held by MITH Editions by writing to info@mitheditions.ch. We may request limited verification of the relevant email address to protect your data. You may also contact the competent data protection authority.

Local data remains on the device until erased. Google Play Games data is retained according to your account and Google’s rules: uninstalling the game does not by itself delete a cloud save. The Data deletion page explains the steps for each location.
